Sydney, Australia
We arrived in Sydney at 6:00 am and were greeted by a representative from Seabourn after clearing customs. Our ride took us directly to the Four Seasons Hotel at Sydney Harbor. We patiently waited poolside until our room was ready. We have a lovely room with a view of the Sydney Opera House. After rummaging through four bags we were able to come up with appropriate clothing for walking the harbor and enjoying the beautiful hot and humid day.
We saw the outside of the Opera House and took a three mile walk through the Royal Botanic Garden. We were hot, sweaty and very tired so returned to the hotel for a shower before dinner. This was where the fun started. The advantages and disadvantages of sending luggage ahead was that we both thought we had things in our bags that we did not. Notably, Joe hadn’t packed extra underwear. When I mentioned we were hot and sweaty, putting those clothes back on was out of the question. So…I went to dinner with “Captain Commando”. We enjoyed a lovely meal at an Italian restaurant on George Street. We agreed that it was one of the best meals we had in a long time (loaded with garlic)! We decided an early bedtime was in order after a long travel day/night.
In all honesty, Joe was a bit crabby and needed sleep. Apparently, on our walk earlier in the day…I was walking wrong. Hahaha. He woke up a great mood today and we are hatching a plan for our next Sydney adventure.
I loved the opera house! So amazing! Sydney is a beautiful city. Glad you are enjoying it!
I can’t wait to hear more about all your adventures!
Are you on a guided tour while you are in the various countries?
We can make that choice. We were not on this particular adventure. Today we are headed back to the Opera House for a guided tour of the inside. Looking forward to that.
Oldhamii BAMBOO? Yay!
